Our Client.

Long-standing and well-respected North East demolition and earthworks contractor, Thompsons of Prudhoe.

Their Mission.

A specialist project to regenerate and remediate the site of the former HM Government Passport Office at Milburngate House as ‘enabling works’ in advance of the new build mixed-use redevelopment of the site. Works consisted of extensive earthworks, along with £5m of specialist sheet piling installations and the removal of hydrocarbon contamination.

Our Role.

Over a twelve-month period during 2018 and 2019, and having a weekly presence of site, we provided senior-level commercial, contractual and programming support to the site team. This included regular liaison with the developer’s senior team to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the project as part of an ever-changing scope of works.

The Result.

The completed and very successful ‘enabling works’ project was handed over to the developer ready for the commencement of the main works in summer 2019, and Thompsons of Prudhoe became a key repeat business client, to whom we have provided further services as part of an excellent working relationship, and have received a fantastic testimonial.
